When I was in professional practice as an illustrator, drawing was obviously a prerequisite. This was underpinned by three years studying the theory and practice of perspective when I was an art student at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design. However, for as long as I can remember I have always drawn. It is not only a need, but also a form of mental therapy. Whilst my preferred drawing medium is pencil, I also use charcoal, pastels and pen-and-ink.
